Soccer

Today we played a team that cheated. You are probly wondering, "How do you cheat in soccer, there are reffs." Let me tell you there are ways. Any time one of my teammates were near their players, they would trip and we would get a penalty. They even gave my friend a yellow card! And after the game we told the other team, "great game." Number 11 punched me!!! Talk about bad sports.

Colorful lights explode into the night sky. A loud bang filled the stadium as if someone just fired a gun. I looked over at my cousins beaming face. I could tell he was enjoying this as much as I was. An enormous cloud of smoke hovered above the stadium as if a fire had just emerged. These amazing wonders were dancing to the beet of beautiful songs.
Drama, hope, love, joy, faith, and all kinds of emotions. The crowd broke out applauding as the last spark faded away. I turned to my dad and my cousin to tell them that this was amazing and thank my dad for taking me here. Before I could get the words out of my mouth, my dad said, “Wasn’t this amazing?” I just smiled because I knew he read my mind.

Chapter

One






“Ring, ring, ring”
“Oh, shoot,” I thought out loud. I zipped around a corner and jerked to a stop. Towering above me was Miss Riley.
“Late again, Natalie?” she asked waiting for an answer.
“Yes... yes ma’am,” I stammered.
“I hate to do this to you but, detention it is. You we’re so good about getting to school on time. Do you need me to talk to your parents or anything?”
“No it’s okay.”
“Well, then take your seat.” I made my way to the back of the room. It was awkward, everyone was starring at me. Sitting right in front of me was Emily, my best friend.
“Detention?” Emily asked.
“Yeah,” I whispered back.
“Bummer.”
“I know.”
“Be quiet Natalie and Emily,” Miss Riley snapped.
The rest of class was pretty boring, except for when we talked about dissecting frogs. I can’t wait for that, though I feel bad for the frogs. Those poor little things, they’ll never know what hit them.
